Kate is very cute. When she wants me to pick her up, she'll ask me: Can I pick you up daddy?

Kate will also ask if she can want things. What? Yes, she'll say stuff like:

Mommy, can I want my bunny, can i want it??? ...very cute

Katie has a sense of humor? http://www.nuclearpants.com/blogs/kate-blog?blo_id=8edbc57c-6878-11df-b221-003048633a44

Kim's nightly routine for the kids is to read them at least one book before they go to sleep. Usually, it is Jack who actually pays attention to the story. Katie is still a little too little to care about the story. But she does like books. And for some reason, 'Good Night Moon' is currently her favorite. If you have ever seen the book, you know that there is one page that has a picture of a cow jumping over the moon. Katie, likes to point at the cow and say: "Dog". I used to correct her and say, "No Katie, that's a cow!, Mooooo". And of course, she is stubborn and will say: "No, doggy, roof-roof!".

So, today, when looking at the book, I decided to go along with her. I said, "Yes Katie, a doggy!". She smiled and said: "No, daddy, COW, MOOOOOO!". I know it's hard to believe she would do that, but she did, she really did that. She's not even two yet, and she was pulling my chain the whole time she was calling it a dog before. I thought it was pretty funny! We love you Katie!

Katie can jump! http://www.nuclearpants.com/blogs/kate-blog?blo_id=02852e3a-610a-11df-b221-003048633a44

Lately, Katie has been trying to jump like her brother. Most of the time she tries, she makes merely makes the gesture that she is jumping but does not really get off the ground. Today, that all changed. Today, she actually jumped! It was awesome! She was off the ground at least 1/2 an inch! Good work Katie

Katie is learning a lot of new words lately! http://www.nuclearpants.com/blogs/kate-blog?blo_id=1cf50dbc-f11b-11de-babf-003048633a44

We are here in California to celebrate Christmas with Victor's family. Katie has had to learn a lot of new names of people she had never met. To everyone's surprise, Katie has been able to remember a lot of people by name. She repeats a lot of new words and appears to understand a lot more than she can speak. It is pretty neat to see her develop her language skills so fast. Good job Katie, keep up the good work! Merry Christmas everyone!

Toddler Daily Report http://www.nuclearpants.com/blogs/kate-blog?blo_id=7e20b514-e92d-11de-babf-003048633a44

In today's Toddler Daily Report from daycare we found the followwing statement at the bottom: "Kate was very sympathetic toward a friend today. She touched his face and said 'sad'. So sweet". Pretty neat considering she's under 2 years old.
